## Description

One Planet Foundation is a sustainability-focused organisation based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Founded in 2006, it has developed more than 74 projects to promote low-carbon living and help create a sustainable future for children. The organisation works with businesses, public bodies, communities and individuals to turn ideas into practical initiatives, particularly those that reduce fossil fuel use and CO2 emissions.

One Planet’s work spans project incubation, sustainability advice, research, education and public engagement. Its portfolio includes support for sustainable building transformations, local food initiatives, renewable-energy projects, recycling studies and community-led housing. It also develops educational activities for children and citizens, such as farm bicycle tours and practical programmes encouraging more sustainable everyday choices. Other initiatives include a sustainable-products rating system, a competition for finance students to develop a business case for low-carbon living, and programmes helping businesses work towards CO2 neutrality. One Planet also convenes expert discussions and contributes to projects connecting product impacts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
