One Roof is a brand that aims to prevent and end homelessness in central Alabama. As the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) for Jefferson, St. Clair, and Shelby Counties, One Roof coordinates services and resources to equip and empower the community.

Their mission is to advocate, educate, and provide coordination of services. The vision for One Roof is to ensure that all community members have appropriate and safe housing. They connect individuals and families with the resources that meet their housing and service needs.

As a continuum organization, they submit the collaborative application for central Alabama through HUD’s Continuum of Care program, which funds $10 million in supportive housing programming. One Roof operates without discrimination, providing services to all individuals regardless of race, religion, gender, or disability status.
