## Description

The Ontario Parks Association (OPA) is a registered charitable organization established in 1936, dedicated to “Protecting Tomorrow Today.” It advocates for parks and open spaces across Ontario and supports the professionals who care for them, helping preserve the province’s living green infrastructure for future generations. OPA is also a member of the Green Infrastructure Ontario Coalition.

The association provides training and education for parks professionals, alongside opportunities to connect through membership and its Annual Parks Education Forum. Its programs also include student awards, OPAF scholarships and bursaries, and advertising in the Green Sward. Through these initiatives, OPA works to strengthen knowledge and leadership in the parks sector and encourage stewardship of natural spaces.

OPA’s work reflects the importance of parks and open spaces to community well-being, accessibility, and inclusion. The organization is based in Cambridge, Ontario, and serves people and communities committed to protecting and improving these shared resources. Its mission brings together advocacy, professional development, and educational support to help ensure parks remain valuable assets for future generations.
