## Description

On the Rye Festival Community Interest Company (CIC) is a Peckham-based community organisation behind On the Rye Festival, a free, open-air celebration designed for local residents and visitors. Its purpose is to create inclusive and accessible spaces for adults, families, children and young people, while celebrating Peckham’s culture and community. The festival is scheduled for the May bank holiday, 25 May 2026, at Peckham Rye Park, from 1 to 9 pm.

The event brings together live music and DJs across three stages, with sounds including soul, R&B, reggae, garage and dance. Alongside the performances, visitors can explore family and children’s activities, a selection of local food, and a market featuring local traders. The programme places particular emphasis on enhancing the experience for neurodivergent children, and the event promotes inclusive, accessible spaces for attendees. Through a free public festival that combines music, activities and local businesses, On the Rye aims to offer a welcoming gathering and a celebration of Peckham for the community.
