## Description

OPALIVRES is an organization based in Boulogne-sur-Mer that promotes children’s and young adult literature across the Côte d’Opale. Its work is designed to help readers discover books and develop, strengthen, or rediscover the pleasure of reading. The organization presents curated selections for a wide range of ages, from toddlers and early readers to teenagers and young adults, alongside documentation for adults. Its recommendations include monthly favorites, themed reading lists, annual selections, and “hidden gems”—books that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

OPALIVRES also supports reading through activities, literary events, and awards and competitions for young people. Its program includes school-focused prizes, reading and book-review contests, and initiatives such as Livre dans la Ville. A reading committee contributes to the organization’s literary work, and OPALIVRES collaborates with institutional partners, publishers, and other friends of the organization. Parents, grandparents, young readers, and people who recommend books can explore its resources and activities. Based in Boulogne-sur-Mer, OPALIVRES shares news and updates through its website and newsletter.
