Our affordable rental housing program provides safe and affordable apartments in South and West Oakland.

We are proud owners and managers of a portfolio of 100 apartments, including Oakland Affordable Living, which was recognized with a 2019 Social Equity in Design Award by the American Institute of Architects. OPDC also administers the Oakland Community Land Trust (CLT), an essential program that develops homes for homeownership and ensures long-term affordability in the Oakland housing market. Furthermore, we engage with the public through our Planning and Design Review program, facilitating community input in neighborhood investments by hosting public meetings and communicating development proposals.
