## Description

Founded in 2012, OPEN FACES FREERIDE SERIES has grown into Austria’s largest organizer of freeride events. The series provides a platform that brings athletes, partners and fans together through competitions across a range of levels and formats. Its events include FWT Junior and FWT Qualifier contests in Alpbachtal and the Kaunertal, as well as at Großglockner Heiligenblut, where an event is listed as cancelled for 2026. Kappl-Paznaun hosts the Freeride Junior World Championships, while Silvretta Montafon and Obertauern stage FWT Challenger competitions. These Challenger events help select future participants in the Freeride World Tour. The 2026 programme also includes junior competitions and qualifiers, with event information and an archive of past contests available through the series’ website. OPEN FACES supports its competitions with live television coverage and information for partners and visitors. Driven by a shared enthusiasm for snow and freeriding, the series connects the sport’s emerging talent with established competition pathways and audiences across Austria.
