OpenACC is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing science by enhancing the accelerated and parallel computing skills of the research and developer community. With a focus on three key areas, OpenACC strives to contribute to the development of the computing ecosystem, provide training and education on programming models and tools, and develop the OpenACC specification. As part of their computing ecosystem development, OpenACC works with language standards committees to ensure performance interoperability.

They also offer training and education through their renowned Hackathon series, which has trained numerous domain experts and accelerated over 550 scientific applications worldwide. OpenACC is recognized for their groundbreaking work in creating the first high-level directives-based programming model for high-performance computing, catering to CPUs, GPUs, and various accelerators. Over 400 applications currently utilize the OpenACC specification for enhanced portability and performance.

The organization is governed by academic and industry members, in collaboration with the OpenACC User Community, and emphasizes the importance of adhering to their Code of Conduct. By joining OpenACC, members gain an opportunity to shape the organization's development, collaborate with experts, participate in on-site training events, and increase their exposure through OpenACC's outreach activities. New members are always welcomed, and membership options include permanent, auxiliary, and academic levels.

To join OpenACC, interested individuals or organizations need to read the OpenACC Bylaws document and submit a signed copy of the membership agreement.
