OpenBoxDeals is a South African online auction brand operated by Potchefstroom Auctioneers (Pty) Ltd. It connects bidders with open-box, returned, clearance and general goods through secure, timed online auctions. Listings may include brand-new, used, untested, working, defective or as-is items, with a condition label provided for each lot. Buyers are encouraged to review photographs, descriptions, included accessories, collection locations and courier options before bidding.

Bidders can browse current, upcoming and completed auctions, register online and set a private maximum bid. The platform automatically places bids in required increments, while server-controlled soft closing extends a lot’s deadline when valid bids arrive near closing time. Bid amounts are shown excluding VAT; 15% VAT is added to the winning bid and itemised on the official invoice. There is no buyer’s commission unless an auction states otherwise.

After winning, customers can choose collection or available delivery options, including door-to-door and door-to-locker courier services. Invoices are generated and emailed through Zoho Books.
