## Description

Open Eyes Nepal is a dedicated not-for-profit organization, established in 2021 by a passionate group led by Dr. Purnima Rajkarnikar Sthapit, an ocular oncologist. The organization focuses on raising awareness and facilitating treatment for Retinoblastoma, the most common eye cancer in children, which can lead to severe consequences if not detected early. In collaboration with entities like Open Eyes Global and the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Open Eyes Nepal strives to provide affordable treatment options and free prosthetic eyes for financially challenged families. Their mission includes conducting awareness campaigns, such as Retinoblastoma Awareness Week, where they offer free treatments and educational programs. The organization also supports parents of newly diagnosed children, creating valuable networks and resources. Through initiatives like the Jyotilife Amazing Motor Rally, Open Eyes Nepal actively engages communities, promoting the message that "Retinoblastoma is Curable." By emphasizing early detection and comprehensive care, Open Eyes Nepal is making a significant impact on the lives of young patients and their families in Nepal.
