## Description

OpenForge is the Government of India's innovative platform designed for open collaborative development of e-governance applications. Launched to address the challenges of duplication and fragmentation in government software projects, OpenForge promotes the use of open source software, encouraging the sharing, reuse, and remixing of source code among various stakeholders, including government agencies, private organizations, and citizens. By fostering collaboration, the platform aims to streamline development cycles, enhance the quality of e-governance solutions, and reduce overall costs.

OpenForge encompasses two collaboration models: Government to Community (G2C) and Government to Government (G2G), each providing distinct avenues for project participation and contributions. It serves as a repository for diverse governance-related projects, including applications, frameworks, libraries, and APIs. The initiatives undertaken on OpenForge are guided by a commitment to transparency, security, and peer review, ultimately striving to spur innovation in the realm of public services and civic engagement.
