## Description

Opening Doors Ministry is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps high school student-athletes and students involved in other recruitable activities find college opportunities. Its mission is to provide young people with the tools and contacts they need to pursue higher education, guided by the belief that an open door can create new possibilities. The ministry works with high school coaching staffs and college programs across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, and lists partner schools and colleges in those states.

Families pay nothing for the ministry’s services. Support is available to academically eligible students, with the site outlining NCAA and NAIA eligibility benchmarks and noting an alternative NAIA admission consideration for students in the top half of their class. Opening Doors offers seminars and classes on college athletics, prospect forms, athletic film, eligibility, campus-visit conduct, and academics. It also provides ACT and SAT preparation, college-application and FAFSA guidance, and support with financial aid and the transition from high school to college.
