## Description

OpenSceneryX is a prominent library of 3D scenery objects designed specifically for the X-Plane® Flight Simulator, aimed at enhancing the user experience for flight simulation enthusiasts. Launched in 2006, OpenSceneryX arose from the necessity of a high-quality resource collection to supplement the built-in scenery of X-Plane®, allowing scenery developers to access a diverse array of assets without the burden of copyright issues.

The library is expansive, containing six categories of resources: decals, facades, forests, lines, objects, and polygons, all organized hierarchically to facilitate easy navigation and use. OpenSceneryX continues to grow thanks to community contributions, with a strong focus on optimizing resources to improve efficiency and performance within X-Plane®.

Looking ahead, OpenSceneryX is committed to evolving alongside X-Plane®, with plans for incorporating new features, improving object efficiency, and merging with other third-party libraries. With its dedication to quality and an open community, OpenSceneryX remains an invaluable resource for flight simulation developers and users alike.
