# Panara Studios

- **Website:** <https://opensend.cc>
- **Primary alias:** `opensend.cc`

## Description

Created by Kamal Panara of Panara Studios, it lets businesses run an email API on their own infrastructure rather than rent a hosted service. The software is free under the Apache-2.0 license; users pay for their server and email delivery through AWS SES, or can connect another SMTP relay.

The platform combines a Resend-compatible REST API and SMTP with a Next.js dashboard, self-hosted Convex database, and Better Auth. It supports API keys, batch sending, idempotent retries, and integration with Resend-style SDKs. Users can create email templates with React components, manage contacts and audiences, and send newsletters or product updates alongside transactional emails. Additional tools include signed webhooks for delivery events, searchable message logs, automatic suppression for bounces and complaints, and guided DKIM, SPF, and DMARC setup. A test mode supports development without sending real emails.

opensend.cc is deployed with Docker Compose and offers documentation for setup. A managed cloud version is planned, with a waitlist available.
