## Description

OpenSMTPD is a brand that offers a FREE implementation of the server-side SMTP protocol, following the standards defined by RFC 5321. With additional standard extensions, OpenSMTPD enables seamless email exchange between ordinary machines and other systems that speak the SMTP protocol. Developed by Gilles Chehade and Eric Faurot, along with contributions from OpenBSD hackers and members from other communities, OpenSMTPD started due to dissatisfaction with existing implementations. This brand provides a comprehensive SMTP solution that is part of the OpenBSD Project. OpenSMTPD's software is freely usable and re-usable, as it is released under an ISC license.
