Our Story
We met on Twitter in 2023. After a few months of DM conversations, small ideas turned into big ones, and we started building OpenStatus together. Our goals were simple: create something genuinely useful for other developers, build a real-world project we could learn from, and keep everything open-source.
By 2025, most of that still holds true. The only thing that changed is our perspective on tech choices. Chasing every new “hot” framework slowed us down more than it helped. Today, we’re proud aficionados of “boring” technology—the kind that works, scales, and lets us focus on delivering real value.

We’re a small team of two. No investors. No VC pressure. No artificial growth targets. We want to keep our freedom, stay close to our users, and build a sustainable business at our own pace.
