## Description

OpenStreetMap Nederland is the Dutch community presence for OpenStreetMap, a collaborative mapping project often described as the “Wikipedia of maps.” Its map can be edited by anyone, allowing contributors to add and update factual geographic information, such as roads. The site explains how access concerns can be handled: when a road is mistakenly shown as public, users can send a message with a photo so it can instead be marked as a private access road, provided appropriate signage is present.

The website now serves as a landing page, replacing an older site after no one was found to develop a sustainable alternative. It directs visitors to the community’s Dutch-language spaces, including a forum category, Discord and Telegram channels, a Matrix space, and a Dutch section of the OpenStreetMap Wiki. The page is managed and hosted on GitHub. It also provides separate email contacts for press enquiries, the webmaster, and donations. Contributions may include complete datasets, technical resources, or financial support.
