## Description

OpenStreetMap Russia is a Russian-language portal for the OpenStreetMap community, the international project in which volunteers create and freely share detailed maps of the world. The site helps Russian-speaking users explore the map, contribute local knowledge, and learn how to get started with mapping. Visitors can search for addresses and points of interest, view map data, and find guides, documentation, forums, and community support. Contributors can correct or add map information using online tools or editing software such as JOSM, and report errors for other volunteers to fix. The portal also explains how to download OpenStreetMap data in formats suitable for navigation devices, embed maps on websites, and create personalized maps for routes or locations. A mapper mode offers additional tools, including data validation and access to points-of-interest information. OpenStreetMap Russia welcomes contributions from individuals and organizations, connecting users with forums, IRC, and the Russian OSM Council. Its resources support practical mapping needs, from navigating remote areas to documenting roads, trails, and other local features.
