## Description

Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers is a fly fishing club based in Port Angeles, Washington, welcoming anyone interested in the sport to attend its meetings, whether or not they are members. The club’s mission is to promote and teach fly fishing, support conservation of fish and their habitats, and encourage catch-and-release practices that help sustain local fisheries. It offers workshops, activities, and outings focused on fly fishing, fly tying, casting, and related topics, with events scheduled throughout the year and, weather permitting, at least one activity each month.

The club also contributes to its community. Members maintain a stretch of Highway 113 near Beaver Lake, organizing roadside cleanups four times a year and often gathering afterward for a barbecue and fishing. Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers supports Project Healing Waters, the Port Angeles Kids Fishing Derby, and the Northwest Youth Conservation and Fly Fishing Academy. Its monthly meetings take place at the Vern Burton Community Center on the first Tuesday of each month.
