As a registered provincial charity since 1921, Ophea has been working in collaboration with school boards, government agencies, non-government organizations, and public health sectors to develop innovative programs and services. Ophea's vision is to ensure that children and youth value and embrace the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Their Equity-centred Strategy for Well-being in Ontario Schools, called So Every Student Can Thrive, aims to create a transformative shift in the sector, prioritizing the well-being of all students, especially those who have experienced marginalization. Ophea is recognized as a leader, connector, and provider in the field of health and wellness initiatives. They collaborate with teachers, education leaders, health professionals, and pre-service teachers across the province, supporting the implementation of health and wellness programs in over 5,000 publicly funded schools.
