## Description

OPOS GmbH is an Austrian firearms company developing the Venator platform for competitive shooting. Made in Austria, the OPOS Venator is a 9mm Luger pistol designed to deliver controlled recoil, stable cycling, and precision during demanding match conditions. Its mechanical design combines an ultra-low bore axis, a rotating-barrel locking system, and a lightweight slide with tuned mass distribution to reduce muzzle rise without a compensator or gas system.

The Venator supports multiple sighting configurations. Optics can be mounted on an integrated Shield-footprint stationary sight rail or on the moving slide, accommodating different shooter preferences and competition requirements. The pistol has an 18+1-round magazine capacity and a 4.6-inch barrel.

OPOS is also developing the optional Vision module, intended to add features such as a real-time round counter, temperature monitoring, lifetime round count, and slide-velocity measurement. It remains in the prototype phase and is not yet commercially available. OPOS has announced plans for limited regional releases and works with partners in several European countries and the United States.
