## Description

OPOS GmbH is an Austrian firearms company based in Wolfau, developing the Venator platform for competitive shooting. Its featured product, the OPOS Venator, is a 9mm Luger competition pistol designed around low muzzle rise, recoil control and stable cycling. The platform combines an ultra-low bore axis, a rotating-barrel locking system and a lightweight slide with tuned mass distribution. OPOS says this mechanical design supports control during rapid strings of fire without a compensator or gas system.

The Venator offers flexible sighting configurations. Optics can be mounted on an integrated Shield-footprint stationary sight rail or, for divisions requiring reciprocating sights, on the moving slide. Listed specifications include an 18+1-round capacity, a 118 mm barrel and a 1.22 kg weight.

OPOS is also developing the optional Venator Vision module, with prototype features such as round counting, temperature monitoring, lifetime round count and slide-velocity measurement. It is not yet commercially available. The company provides product information, manuals and updates, and lists partners across Europe and the United States.
