## Description

Stichting Oranjecomité Papendrecht is a local nonprofit organization that plans and delivers community events in Papendrecht, the Netherlands. Its main activity is organizing the town’s annual King’s Day celebrations on 27 April, bringing residents and visitors together for entertainment, family activities and local traditions. For 2026, the event is presented as “the best day of the year” and includes a street market, where individuals can rent a stall for €45, alongside performances, live theatre, children’s shows, rides and interactive attractions. Visitors can also enjoy food and drink, market stalls and food trucks, live music at several venues, and a fireworks display by the river. The programme includes activities such as an obstacle maze, racing simulators, a high-altitude cycling attraction and acrobatic trampolines. The committee also shares information about related local occasions, including the annual Remembrance Day ceremony on 4 May, featuring a silent procession, church service, wreath-laying and two minutes of silence.
