## Description

Oranjevereniging Harmelen is a volunteer-led community organisation that has been active in Harmelen since 1937. It brings residents and visitors together throughout the year with a varied programme of celebrations and local events for people of all ages. The association combines changing activities with cherished traditions, with King’s Day as a major annual celebration. Its programme includes a ceremonial aubade, children’s games, a performance at Huize Gaza and entertainment by various artists on the village square. Other recurring events include the fair, the Harmelense Dorpsquiz, the 4 May remembrance, the Sinterklaas light parade and a children’s disco at Dezibel. The organisation’s enthusiastic volunteers and board plan and deliver these activities, aiming to fund them through sponsorship and general resources. Individuals and businesses can support its work with a contribution, and the association also welcomes sponsors. Through its events and community involvement, Oranjevereniging Harmelen helps sustain local traditions while offering opportunities for neighbours and visitors to celebrate together.
