## Description

OrcaLab, based on Yukusam (Hanson Island), has been dedicated to studying the Northern Resident Orcas and other cetaceans of Northeast Vancouver Island for over 50 years. Our work is guided by the philosophy of Do No Harm, observing, listening, and learning day and night without interference for the protection of orcas. With 60,000+ recorded hours of acoustic data and 50 square kilometers of critical habitat monitored year-round, our research is essential for understanding these magnificent creatures. We engage a global community of 300+ volunteers and rely on generous supporters for our work. You can watch live streams of orcas socializing, listen to their unique sounds, and even download our SayOrca app to learn more about orca calls. Join us in our mission to protect and appreciate these incredible marine beings. Explore our merchandise at EcoJoia and support OrcaLab's crucial conservation efforts.
