Orca Relief Citizens' Alliance is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the full recovery of the endangered Southern Resident killer whales. Our mission is to reduce the mortality rates of these majestic creatures through research, education, and policy advocacy. Using the best available science, Orca Relief is dedicated to protecting and recovering the J, K, and L pods of Puget Sound and the Salish Sea.

We focus on addressing the noise and stress caused by commercial motorized whale watch boats and private boats that disrupt the whales' natural environment. To provide a safe haven for Puget Sound's endangered orcas, we are striving to create a Whale Protection Zone on the west side of San Juan Island, Washington state. This zone will serve as a sanctuary and aid in their recovery efforts.
