## Description

Foreningen Ordkraft is a volunteer-run cultural organisation based in Aalborg, Denmark, dedicated to bringing people together through words and literature. Its main activity is Ordkraft, North Jutland’s annual literature festival, held over three days in April. The festival gives audiences the opportunity to meet contemporary authors and explore literature through conversations and events designed to broaden perspectives. The 2027 festival is scheduled for 1–3 April in Aalborg.

Ordkraft also develops literary activities beyond the festival. These include Ordkraft Writing School, which offers aspiring writers a chance to apply for a place and develop their skills, and special author events, including livestreamed conversations arranged with cultural partners. The organisation offers sponsor events for companies seeking to provide a cultural experience for customers, business contacts or employees, and publishes a newsletter featuring event updates, reading inspiration and competitions.

Ordkraft also participates in cultural exchange between North Jutland and Greenland through a friendship-city partnership involving Aalborg Municipality and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq.
