## Description

The Oregon Poetry Association (OPA) is Oregon's oldest and largest literary organization, established in 1956. With over 350 members, OPA embodies the diversity of Oregon, with poets of all ages and backgrounds. Whether living in major cities, rural areas, or coastal villages, OPA members are connected through their love of poetry. They participate in various literary activities, such as publishing books, contributing to literary journals, and organizing and entering poetry contests. OPA members are involved in community arts events, poetry readings, workshops, and critique groups. They collaborate with musicians, visual artists, and writers of other genres. OPA poets write in a wide range of poetic styles, including haiku, sonnets, free verse, and experimental pieces, expressing their experiences and perspectives, both within and beyond Oregon's borders. OPA is a supportive community of passionate poets who come together to teach, learn, encourage, inspire, and simply enjoy the company of fellow poetry enthusiasts. Join OPA and become part of this vibrant literary community in Oregon.
