## Description

Helsingin Lastenklinikan osasto 10:n lapsipotilaiden tuki ry is a Finnish support association founded in 1982. It helps children and young people receiving care at Taika Ward and Taika Day Hospital at HUS New Children’s Hospital. The association was originally established to support patients of Children’s Hospital Ward 10; following the hospital’s reorganisation, the unit is now known as Taika.

The association’s work is funded by donations from private individuals and companies. These contributions are directed towards patient care and research in the field, helping the hospital access up-to-date expertise and the equipment needed as new treatments for childhood cancers are developed. The association reports that its support has contributed to advances in care, alongside wider efforts that have improved the prospects for children with cancer.

Through its fundraising and support activities, the association aims to help ensure that young patients can benefit from developments in treatment. Its website provides information about the association, donations, concerts, children with cancer, and related links.
