OSBA, the Oregon School Boards Association, is committed to improving student success and educational equity. Founded in 1946, OSBA is governed by a member-elected board and serves K-12 public school boards, education service district boards, community college boards, and the State Board of Education. They provide a range of services to support locally elected volunteers in fulfilling their complex roles in public education.

OSBA offers legislative advocacy at state and federal levels, board leadership training, employee management assistance, policy development, communications support, and legal and financial services. They also have various committees, including the Oregon School Board Members of Color Caucus and the Oregon Rural School Boards Advisory Committee, which focus on promoting quality education for all students and addressing the specific needs of students of color and rural school boards. Through their Call for Equity initiative, OSBA is dedicated to supporting boards in ensuring a just and fair distribution of resources based on each student's needs.
