## Description

The OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions is a distinguished Track II initiative designed to foster cooperative and comprehensive security within the OSCE region. Established on June 18, 2013, through the collaboration of 16 founding research institutions, the Network has since expanded to include over 140 member institutions as of spring 2021. This inclusive platform invites research entities from OSCE participating and partner states to engage in academic and policy research pertinent to the OSCE's mission.

The Network actively provides vital policy advice, promotes transnational civil society interaction, and raises awareness of OSCE priorities and challenges. Members benefit from access to collaborative projects, publications, and a structured network that enhances their research capabilities. Notable publications from the Network include analyses on current geopolitical crises, such as the situation in Afghanistan and the implications of Russia's war against Ukraine. By leveraging collective expertise, the OSCE Network invigorates dialogue and strengthens security frameworks across the region.
