## Description

Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby is a community sports club based in Aberavon, Port Talbot, South Wales. It welcomes physically disabled people of all ages, genders and abilities, offering a safe, fun and inclusive environment where members can build connections and enjoy being part of the wheelchair rugby community. Players can take part for competition or simply for fun, and people interested in joining are invited to get involved.

The club was founded in September 1989 as the South Wales Pirates, following a wheelchair rugby demonstration at Sophia Gardens. The team later adopted the Ospreys name in 2014. Its history includes four national titles, five league titles and two silver medals at the European Club Championship level. Former players have also achieved success with Great Britain.

Today, Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby provides training sessions and senior training, and shares news, event information, match results and game reports. The club is supported by coaches, members and volunteers, and has received the Disability Sport Wales Insport Club Silver Award.
