## Description

Østersøjazz Festival is an annual, nonprofit jazz festival held in Nexø on the Danish island of Bornholm. A summer tradition since 1996, it brings together leading Danish musicians and performers from jazz and related genres beneath the open sky. Most concerts take place on Nexø Torv and are free to attend, making the festival welcoming to local residents, visitors, jazz enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The programme also includes performances for children and a range of musical styles, with 2026 artists listed including Sunbörn, Ibrahim Electric, Buki Yamaz, Hvalfugl, Kira Martini and Moussa Diallo Trio. Scheduled for the first weekend of August, the festival is organized by the volunteer association Østersøjazz i Nexø, with support from local sponsors, foundations and partner organizations. Visitors are invited to support its future by purchasing a festival wristband for 150 kroner at the square’s bar. Østersøjazz offers a lively opportunity to enjoy live music, discover performers and experience Bornholm’s summer atmosphere in a central community setting.
