## Description

Kőszegi Ostromnapok Egyesület is a community association based in Kőszeg, Hungary, dedicated to preserving and sharing the town’s history and traditions. Its best-known event, the annual Kőszegi Ostromnapok, commemorates the 1532 Ottoman siege of Kőszeg. During the August festival, historical reenactors portray Ottoman forces and the town’s defenders, with the dramatic recreation of the siege at Jurisics Castle serving as a highlight.

The association organizes a varied program of cultural and heritage activities for residents and visitors. These include folk music and dance, concerts, historical performances, parades, traditional markets, archery events, and family activities such as crafts and children’s programs. It also hosts related commemorations and gatherings throughout the year, including events connected with Saint Martin and Hungarian historical occasions. Through its programs, the association brings local history to life while supporting Kőszeg’s cultural identity and community traditions. Its website provides event details, schedules, news, photographs, and practical information for visitors and participating vendors.
