# Osu

- **Website:** <https://osu.direct>
- **Primary alias:** `osu.direct`

## Description

The service offers a searchable collection of beatmaps, with sections for favourite, most-played, and newly ranked maps. Its stated focus is speed and simplicity, and downloads are available without a subscription or payment.

Previously known as Kitsu, osu.direct says it has rebranded with a commitment to reliable service. The site is used by projects including osu!droid and Akatsuki, alongside other community tools and services. It also supports both v1 and v2 API routes and offers custom features for developers seeking to integrate beatmap access into their projects. API documentation is available through the website.

Players can get started through the site, while a Discord community provides another point of contact. osu.direct is an independent service and states that it is not affiliated with osu! or ppy Pty Ltd.
