## Description

OTID provides scientific identification and documentation services for works of art and other cultural objects. Its Scientific Passport gives each object a lasting identity based on its chemical composition, helping distinguish an original from a visually similar copy. Specialists use a portable macro X-ray fluorescence scanner to analyse materials on site in minutes, without touching the work.

Each Passport records the object’s physical and chemical characteristics alongside images and technical details. It can include maps of analysed areas, scientific data and, on request, an expert report interpreting materials and their compatibility with a declared date. A cryptographic record is registered on blockchain and decentralised databases, while the scientific data remains private. Owners also receive documentation and a blockchain receipt, and the work can be re-examined for verification.

OTID serves collectors, galleries, auction houses, insurers, banks, museums, artists, estates and fine-art shippers. Its approach is intended to support authentication, provenance records, collection management, insurance claims, sales, loans and transport.
