## Description

Otterup Markedsforening is a local market association that organizes Otterup’s annual summer square market, bringing residents and visitors together for lively Saturday events. The 2026 season runs from June 6 to August 29, with the market open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; it is closed on July 4 during Otterup’s flea market. Visitors can browse stalls, bargain with sellers, enjoy live music and a friendly atmosphere, and take part in a tombola offering prizes. Food and refreshments, including sausages and lunch, are available, and dancing may follow the music. On opening day, coffee and bread rolls are served in the morning, sponsored by local businesses. The association works with sponsors to support Bryggergården and Kærgårdens Venner, a group that arranges social activities and entertainment for residents of local care centres and respite facilities. Each year, the market also features a poster illustrated by Otterup artist Finn Frederiksen; the 2026 design is used on the market wine label.
