## Description

The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, established in 1949, is a prominent charitable organization dedicated to supporting young men and women who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts. Celebrating its 72nd anniversary, the Fund has awarded over $42 million in need-based scholarships to more than 6,200 scholars, emphasizing its commitment to educational access. The scholarships, which are renewable and average around $30,000 over four years, can reach up to $65,000 for some recipients. To qualify, Ouimet Scholars must have served at least two years as caddies or in roles within pro shops or course superintendent operations in Massachusetts. Many of these scholars have pursued successful careers and have taken on leadership roles across various fields. As a recognized 501(c)(3) organization, the Ouimet Fund proudly holds the title of The Golf Charity of Massachusetts, making significant contributions to the community by investing in the education and future of its youth.
