## Description

Oulun Han Moo Do is a martial arts club in Oulu, Finland, teaching Boreal Hanmoodo, an independent style developed in Finland from the experience and history of Han Moo Do. Han Moo Do draws on traditional Korean martial arts and has been practised in Oulu since 1994; Boreal Hanmoodo began in 2020 to adapt the discipline and its training to contemporary needs.

The club offers varied martial arts and self-defence practice, covering weapon techniques, unarmed standing techniques, and ground fighting. Training also develops wellbeing and natural movement. Sessions include practical self-defence, controlled demonstrations that build body awareness, and full-contact sparring across different distances, with rules that accommodate varying experience and ability. Weapons practice ranges from soft and hard training weapons to sharp swords, each used for distinct training purposes.

Oulun Han Moo Do holds regular weekday classes at Äimäkuja 6 in Oulu and welcomes people of all backgrounds. The club offers introductory sessions free of charge, alongside beginner and continuing courses. Members can also ask about payment options and discounts.
