## Description

Our Family Plot is a family history and local research website focused on documenting the people, records and past of Hethersett, a village in Norfolk, England. Described as a one-place study, the site brings together historical sources and research to help visitors explore the community’s history and investigate family connections. Its online collection includes census transcripts from 1841, 1851 and 1861, parish registers, directories, electoral and land records, probate abstracts, manorial material, maps and surveys, and records relating to taxation and the Old Poor Law. Finding guides and a glossary offer additional support for navigating these sources.

Alongside record listings, Our Family Plot publishes articles about research discoveries and local history. Topics include Hethersett’s tithes, manor court records, historical mapping and the Guerin family. The site also describes work to make historical information accessible online, including visualising local history on Google Maps. By combining documentary resources with narrative research, Our Family Plot serves genealogists, local historians and anyone interested in Hethersett’s heritage.
