# Our Place After School Care - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `ourplacecare.org` ## Description Our Place is a Nebraska-based organization that creates a supportive community for teens and adults with special needs. Founded in Hastings, it began in 2017 with an after-school program for teens with disabilities, inspired by founder Adeline Johnson’s goal of helping her daughter build friendships, independence, and practical skills. The organization offers after-school care and a summer program for ages 13 and older, as well as day support services for adults aged 21 and up. Programs foster academic growth, social connection, life skills, community service, and recreation, with individualized learning opportunities, nutritious food, and activities planned by participants and facilitators. Our Place accepts eligible Nebraska developmental disability and aged and disabled waivers; private-pay fees use a sliding scale based on taxable income. It also offers shared living, a person-centered residential service that supports individuals with developmental disabilities in building independence in a home environment. Through its Freedom Factory store, teens can sell items they create on commission, alongside gifts featuring work by local artists. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Developmental and Physical Disabilities _(under Health)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/ourplace2018) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/ourplaceafterschool) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/ourplacecare) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idXXU_SN-9/w/107/h/107/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792871475997) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idXXU_SN-9/w/100/h/100/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792871476066) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Scorpion | #5a5a5a | accent | | Mine Shaft | #2a2a2a | dark | | Cadet Blue | #a9b8c3 | light | ## Fonts - Be Vietnam Pro — asset _(custom)_ - Nunito Sans — asset _(google)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idXXU_SN-9/w/1500/h/500/id3xh14AWK.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1706173445044) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
