# Our Place In Time - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `ourplaceintime.net` ## Description Our Place in Time is a historical book series by author Kent Augustson that explores how major civilizations and turning points have shaped the modern world. Its central aim is to put contemporary challenges—including the violence of the 20th century and continuing conflicts—into a broad historical perspective through engaging accounts of influential people and events, written for everyday readers rather than specialists. The series is organized around the idea that humanity has passed through distinct transformative ages. It examines the development of early civilizations, the philosophical and religious ideas associated with the Axial Age around 500 BC, and the changing influence of power and government. The books also trace the histories of four major civilizations: those shaped by Islam, Confucianism, Hinduism, and Christianity, seeking to present their progress in a balanced way and show their relevance today. The trilogy begins with the prequel Our Axial Age, followed by Tales of Invasions and Empires, covering 1100–1400, and The Twenty-five Years that Changed the World, covering 1400–1700. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 History _(under Science and Education)_ - 🍿 Arts and Entertainment - 🍿 Books and Literature _(under Arts and Entertainment)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idoVekAdYt/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793864387909) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Driftwood | #a5814d | accent | | Mine Shaft | #3f3f3f | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - Alex Brush — asset _(google)_ - Open Sans — asset _(google)_ - Open Sans — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
