## Description

Tavus is an AI research and technology company pioneering “human computing”: making interactions with computers feel more like conversations with people. Founded in 2020, it develops foundational models and tools that help AI see, hear, understand, and respond in real time. Its central offering is the PAL, a personified application layer designed to interact face-to-face, remember conversations, and perform useful tasks.

Developers can build customized PAL experiences through Tavus’s APIs, while the no-code PAL Maker lets individuals and teams create and launch agents in minutes. For larger organizations, Tavus provides bespoke, fully managed solutions tailored from concept through deployment. PALs can support use cases including sales, healthcare, interviews, learning and development, tutoring, and customer assistance.

Capabilities include natural speech and expressive video, persistent memory, document-based knowledge, live presentations, browser use, and participation in Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams calls. Tavus also offers conversational AI models and platform features for turn-taking, perception, and real-time interaction. Its customers have used the technology to create sales representatives, coaching agents, and clinical education consultants.
