## Description

Carol Stock Kranowitz is an author and educator whose work helps parents, teachers, and caregivers understand sensory processing differences and support children’s development. Her interest in the subject grew while she was teaching music and movement to preschoolers. She went on to write The Out-of-Sync Child: Recognizing and Coping with Sensory Processing Differences, alongside other books in the “Sync” series. Her publications address sensory challenges across childhood and adolescence, offer practical activities for children and families, and include stories for young readers and grandparents. Recent titles include The Out-of-Sync Family, Good Times with Out-of-Sync Grandkids, and Out-of-Sync Success Stories. With Joye Newman, Kranowitz also developed the “In-Sync Child” approach, which encourages families and educators to weave movement into children’s daily routines through fun, functional activities. Her website provides information about her books, workbooks, audio publications, translations, articles, and reviews, as well as talks, webinars, and resources on sensory-motor development and related support. Her books have sold nearly two million copies and been translated into 21 languages.
