## Description

Outcry Theatre is a Dallas-area theatre company based in Plano, presenting performances in Addison, Plano, and communities around the region. Its work spans professional, youth, and community theatre, with a focus reflected in its description of productions as “visceral, energetic, and youthful.” The company offers audiences a varied program of plays and musicals, while giving young performers opportunities to audition, rehearse, and appear on stage.

Youth productions and auditions are organized for different age groups, including programs for children ages 6–12, performers ages 10–15, and teens ages 13–19. The season features titles such as Alice by Heart, Annie KIDS, How to Train Your Dragon JR., Macbeth, and Gumdrop and the Space Orphans. Outcry also stages community productions, including Something Rotten, and has presented works such as Spring’s Awakening, Bat Boy, and My Name Is Asher Lev.

In addition to performances, the theatre provides ticket sales through its box office, audition information, merchandise, and a podcast available through major listening platforms.
