Outdoors & Beyond Nowra is the largest outdoors store in the Shoalhaven area, offering a wide range of camping, hiking, and watersports gear. Since its establishment in 1946 as Westwood Tyre Service, the store has evolved and grown to become a trusted destination for outdoor enthusiasts. In 1995, the store officially opened as Westwood's Great Outdoors in the Nowra CBD. In 2000, it relocated to its current location in South Nowra and was rebranded as The Great Outdoors Centre Nowra. The store's next phase came in the mid-2000s, when it became Outdoors & Beyond. During this time, it became the first store in the southern hemisphere to sell Hobie kayaks, gaining recognition in the outdoor gear industry. In 2011, the store split into two separate businesses, Outdoors & Beyond Camping and Paddle Pedal Sail, to meet the growing demand for Hobie kayaks. The brand expanded across multiple locations in NSW, including Mona Vale, Caringbah, and Belmont. Since 2013, the Nowra location has solely operated as Outdoors & Beyond Nowra, continually adding new brands and products. In 2015, it became the Shoalhaven's Weber Specialist Dealer, expanding into the barbecue market. Despite increased competition, the store remains committed to offering a great selection of camping, hiking, kayaking, caravanning, and beach gear, along with the full range of Weber barbecues.
