## Description

Outpace Bio is a Seattle-based biotechnology company developing cell therapies designed to help the immune system recognize and eliminate cancer. Its approach combines AI-powered protein design with engineered cells, aiming to address several challenges at once: tumors suppress immune responses, therapeutic cells may lose activity over time, and treatments must balance potency, specificity, safety, and scalable delivery.

The company’s platform technologies are designed to improve different aspects of cell therapy. OUTSPACER optimizes engineered receptors to support stronger, more specific cancer-cell killing; OUTSMART uses designed cytokines to encourage productive immune responses in tumors; and OUTLAST aims to improve the persistence and function of therapeutic cells. OUTMATCH is designed to promote proper pairing and surface expression of engineered T-cell receptors, while OUTSAFE provides a safety switch that responds to cetuximab and can also support cell selection and quality control during manufacturing. OUTDRIVE focuses on in vivo delivery, with the goal of making treatment more scalable.
