## Description

Outpost is a unique and revolutionary brand that stands out in the publishing industry. Unlike most organizations, they are a publishers cooperative whose primary goal is to provide services to publishers, rather than making billions of dollars. They are not funded by billionaires and have strict bylaws preventing them from selling out to Big Tech. In fact, if they make more money than they need, they distribute it to their members as a dividend, similar to how REI or local grocery store co-ops operate. Outpost believes in the future of publishing where people willingly support the publications and writers they care about, and where those publications can keep as much revenue as possible. They understand the power of the internet and the web in empowering diverse voices and communities, allowing individuals to make a good living writing about their passions without the constraints of traditional employment. With their experience in ethical publishing software and a team that includes former Wired journalist Ryan Singel as CEO, Outpost is dedicated to making publishing software better and supporting the growth of independent voices.
