## Description

**Brand: Theater of War Productions**

Theater of War Productions, co-founded in 2009 by Bryan Doerries and Phyllis Kaufman, is a transformative theater company dedicated to facilitating dialogues on pressing social issues through the lens of dramatic literature. The organization employs prominent actors from film and theater to perform readings of seminal works, from ancient Greek tragedies to modern plays, followed by community-driven discussions. This innovative approach encourages audiences to share personal experiences related to themes in the plays, fostering empathy and understanding.

Theater of War Productions has partnered with a variety of organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, to extend its reach across diverse communities globally. They have addressed critical topics such as mental health, racial justice, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic through tailored programs like The Oedipus Project. With over 500,000 people engaged across 100 countries, their initiatives demonstrate the power of theater to heal, educate, and inspire meaningful conversations about societal challenges.
