OutdoorWriters Assoc is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing the outdoor experience through impactful and informative content. Our members, who are experienced outdoor enthusiasts, include writers, editors, authors, digital content creators, broadcasters, podcasters, film and video producers, photographers, artists, lecturers/speakers, publishers, and communications and PR professionals. We strive to provide world-class resources and support to our members as they inform the public about outdoor activities, issues, and the responsible use of natural resources.

Through OWAA membership and adherence to our creed and code of ethics, our members are committed to delivering honest, thorough, informed, responsible, and unbiased outdoor coverage. We offer a range of member services, including our award-winning bimonthly publication Outdoors Unlimited, an annual conference, workshops and seminars, editorial needs and job postings, scholarships for continuing education, networking opportunities, and setting professional standards while promoting and rewarding excellence.
